The V Files! * * The Truth is in here......
Ahoy Surfer !!! Welcome to the internet abode of
Visvanathan "VISHU" Subramanian
Visvanathan Subramanian, "Vishu" for short or "V" as some of his really lazy friends [Manoj, Nand, Saran, AP, Ja, RP] call him :) was raised in the South Indian city of Coimbatore, known for its salubrious climate, cosmopolitan environment and Industrial achievements.
His parents, SV Subramanian and Gowri Subramanian, provided Vishu and his sister, Archana with the best care ,guidance and encouragement be it academic or athletic. They also strongly inculcated spiritual and moral values which has shaped him to be a principled man.
His education was based upon the strong foundation he received at the Stanes High School, Coimbatore. The teachers at this school have been a source of constant inspiration to him till this day. The friends he made here - Sreecumaran, Krishna, Balaji, Shilpa , Swathi, Priya were for life. Vishu had been drawn to computers right from seventh grade when he started writing programs in BASIC (which amazingly seemed to work unlike the ones he writes today :) when he was not attending Cricket practice or playing Basketball for his School.
His strong interest in Computers made him determined to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering at PSG College of Technology. Here he was introduced to world class faculty, state of art resources, and sleepless nights in the labs.
It was not all work and no play at PSG Tech by any stretch of the imagination. At PSG Tech, he was literally shown a window to the Universe at the Astronomy Club of PSG Tech. His looking glass was the 8" Reflector Telescope, one of the few available to amateur astronomers. He never missed a Cultural Event and conducted/participated in many a Quiz. The memories made even fonder by his friends Manoj, Nand, Saran, Venkatesh, TSK, Anand, Sree, Ja, AP and RP. He was the Chief Editor of the College Magazine - "Tech Talk" which was the one of the most interesting experiences of his life.He also served as the Chief Editor of the ECE Technical Journal.
His four years at this premier institution with a highly motivating and competitive environment broadened his visions, raised his sights and opened his mind to new technologies. He no longer wanted to use cutting edge technology , he wanted to create it. Vishu then decided to go to Virginia Tech to continue his education. He is currently pursuing his Master's degree in Electrical Engineering and particularly interested in Hardware Modelling and Design for Broadband Wireless Networks.
Vishu currently lives in Blacksburg home to Virginia Tech with his room mates Raghu, Balaji and Naveen.
Vishu loves to travel and needless to say his camera follows him everywhere. If you want to see where Vishu and his camera went you should probably go to his Photo gallery.
