"Once having tasted the delights of great art, one is inescapably and forever dedicated to it." - Paul Gauguin

This is a relatively new medium, where proprietary liquid paints are used to colour glass. Usually an outline is applied and is filled with the colour. Pale tints are possible and colours can be mixed to obtain colours not possible with the original stained glass, only they are less durable and should be protected from the elements. This subject does not have a basic course and charges depend on the size of the project.

The student will learn how to handle:

  • The outliner
  • The medium and the materials;
  • mixing of different colours and addition of thinners;
  • cleaning of brushes and their maintenance;
  • how to paint.

Outlining can be done with ready made imported tubes, Indian outliners are also available. One should always use glass paints in well ventilated areas and minimise inhalation of the fumes

Pictures suitable for this technique should be chosen by the student and all material including frame will be provided by us.
