"The life that is well spent is a long life" Leonardo Da Vinci

This is the technique of decorating a surface with cutouts, usually paper, the procedure is simple enough if one has basic oil painting skills. Surfaces can be as varied as ceramic plates, pots, pieces of wood etc..

There is no basic course for decoupage, the student has to choose a picture and the size of plate and then begin with the basics where she will learn:

  • The method of cutting and pasting the picture ;
  • application of the base background in oils;
  • finishing the background and fusing with the picture;
  • varnishing and finishing the plate.

Pots and other terra cotta or wood objects used for decoupage should be coated with a suitable primer before working on them. we can personalise articles by using photographs from the family album.

A landscape or still life can be done by the student, personal pictures also can be done. The student can opt for a clip or stand to support the plate after completion..
