D'Coy Bn., for one year in 1962-63 at Chennai. Served as a Cadet in N.C.C. Air Wing for one year in 1963-64 at Coimbatore. Received record of appreciations from Revenue authorities, Vellore for the valuable services rendered in the activities of Land Acquisition in 1971. Passed Account Test for Highways Department Officers and Subordinates conducted by the Tamilnadu Public Service Commission in November,1972. Passed District Office Manual Test conducted by the Tamilnadu Public Service Commission in May,1973. Selected by Tamilnadu Public Service Commission for the appointment as Assistant Engineer in 1974 in the Highways Department.  Set of Records of Appreciations were received from the Director, Highways Research Station, Chennai for the successful conduct of fourteen number of Condition Surveys on Seven Bridges in Tamilnadu and Maharashtra States during 1983 and 1986. Encomiums and Appreciations received from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India for the draft final report on the research project, B4, Study on Expansion Joints in Road Bridges during 1986.   Award of Incentive received from the Director, Highways Research Station, Chennai-25 in recognition of my 25 years more of unblemished service rendered on 7-5-1997. Award of Medal and Record of Appreciations were received from the Ramasamy Reddy Memorial Endowment Committee on 15-11-2001 for my Eminent services in the department, at Highways Research Station, Chennai-25. Received appreciations for assisting the Organizing Secretary, in holding National Symposium on, "New Materials and New Technologies on Bridge Engineering", at Chennai on 24th and 25th January, 2002 by I.I.B.E. Tamilnadu Center. Received appreciations for assisting the Technical Committee of the fib day cum National Seminar on, "Global Trends in Civil Engineering Construction", organized by Institution of Engineers (India) Tamilnadu State Center on 23rd and 24th February, 2002 at Chennai. . . . . list to continue....
