    • .He has been studying urban issues in general with special interest in Transportation, Environment (Noise in particular), Disaster Mitigation and Management. He has to his credit few published articles touching areas of Civil Engineering, Transportation, Affordable Housing, Flooding in Mumbai, Rain Water Harvesting for Mumbai, Governance Reform for Mumbai, Accessibility to the Disabled in Built Environment and Noise Pollution.

    • He is member of the Infrastructure Sub Committee of Citizen's Action Group formed by Government of Maharashtra and Bombay First. He is also a member on the Committee on Mumbai Transformation Project of Government of Maharashtra on Transport Infrastructure and Master Planning.
    • He has also actively participated in the Maharashtra Election Watch 2004.

    • Foray into independent consulting lead him to activism and writing.
